What you should know before you proceed

Transparency should not be hidden in small print. Before submitting an application, applicants should have access to information explaining what the service does, what the process involves, what eligibility requirements may apply, whether fees or charges apply, what information may be requested, how information is handled, how applications are reviewed, how updates are shared, what happens after approval or decline, and how to contact support.

If something is important enough to affect your decision, it should be clearly communicated.

No-pressure policy

Financial decisions should not be made because someone pressured you. You should have a reasonable opportunity to understand what is being offered, what obligations may apply, and what the next steps involve.

Ask questions whenever something is unclear. Understanding comes first.
